We know that becoming a parent is what is most important to you. And, that’s why we want to make certain that every detail is taken care of – from your first consult with our experienced client relations team to making certain that you are ready for your baby’s birth. We want you and your surrogate mother, egg donor or sperm donor to enjoy the process from beginning to end as well.
Below we have created an easy step-by-step guide on what to expect from your journey to creating a child via surrogacy and/or sperm and egg donation. Note that timing between each step will be different for every Intended Parent, which will be determined by you and your client relation team member at your initial consult.
1. Schedule your free, no cost consultation with one of our experienced client relation’s team members.
By scheduling a consultation with one of our experienced client relation’s team member, you have the ability to ask questions, discuss options and determine the best path to creating your family. Or you can access our egg donor database by filling up our Intended Parents Application (see link below).
2. Select your Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor, or Sperm Donor
Selecting your surrogate, egg donor, or sperm donor may seem like a daunting task; however, the experienced staff of Conceptual Options is here to familiarize you with the surrogacy and donation process and help you select the surrogate mother and/or egg donor and sperm donor that best fits your needs. Every surrogacy and donation cycle is different for each family, which is why you working with Conceptual Options will help you navigate your journey to parenthood.
3. Start Medical Screenings and Paperwork
Now that you have selected your Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor, or Sperm Donor, the time has come for the complete medical screening of your surrogate and/or egg donor and sperm donor. In addition, at the same time the legal contracts will be drafted and finalized by the attorneys.
4. IVF Medical Cycle Starts
Upon completion of all medical screening and legal contracts, the IVF cycle will start with the IVF doctor syncing everyone’s cycles together. Once this is done, medications will start for the Intended Mother, Surrogate Mother, and/or Egg Donor. Within several weeks the egg retrieval will occur, and the embryo transfer will take place within 3-5 days following the egg retrieval from the Intended Mother and/or egg donor.
5. The Day of the Pregnancy Test Arrives – Positive Pregnancy Vibes!
Positive Pregnancy Vibes! This the day that you have been waiting for – the day that you discover if you or your surrogate is pregnant and on the path to creating your family.
6. What to expect now that you are EXPECTING!
Now that you are expecting your baby, we begin preparing you for the birth of your baby, which includes all parental rights paperwork, and preparing for your return home with your new family. No stone is left unturned as Conceptual Options work with you to ensure that all steps are completed before and as your baby is born.
