Tara Lipinski Talks About the Olympics and her Fertility Struggles

            You would expect an Olympic athlete to be able to conquer anything.  Right?  That is what we all think, but not for Tara Lipinski – a U.S., World, and Olympic Champion, with a Gold Medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics.  And now she is opening about her struggles with infertility that she has dealing with for the last five years on a podcast with her husband, Todd Kapostacy, a documentary film maker, that premiers on August 29th. They plan to discuss the isolation that they have felt, while also talking about their plans to grow their family.  

            Tara also intends to detail her struggles with six miscarriages, four D&Cs, six failed transfers,  and eight retrievals, while being diagnosed with endometriosis and the surgeries that followed – all while living her life around doctor appointments and procedures.  She really wants people to know that infertility is a lonely place for any couple or individual trying to create and grow their family…she wants to know that you are not alone.
