Conceptual Options Honors NICU Families at Miracle Babies 9th Annual Gala In Rancho Santa Fe, California

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, Conceptual Options was a proud benefactor sponsor of the Miracle Babies 9th Annual Gala, entitled Minuit à Versailles. The staff of Conceptual Options enjoyed a delicious dinner, silent auction, and dancing and live music while honoring those babies and their families that enter the NICU each year. In fact, did you know that 500,000 babies are admitted to NICU each and every year in the US?

As a Surrogacy and Egg Donation agency, we understand the importance of not only prenatal care, but also the care that some babies have to undergo after birth in the NICU.

Here is alittle more about Miracle Babies from their site:

Miracle Babies is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that was founded to support NICU families. When a baby is born premature or with medical complications, that family’s life changes drastically. Stress becomes a near constant emotion, difficult decisions must be made, and life in the NICU becomes a reality.

This unexpected journey is one that no parent hopes to experience, and often times, something that many families are unprepared for financially. Miracle Babies’s founding purpose is to support these NICU families by providing needs-based financial assistance to low-income families through our Family Assistance Program. By helping to address some of the financial barriers that keep parents away from their new baby (transportation, groceries, and child care costs), we help moms and dads get to and from the NICU more often, increasing rates of breastfeeding and Kangaroo Care, a skin-to-skin practice.

In addition to our direct financial assistance program, we also support NICU families through the distribution of MB Cares Bags. These bags are distributed on a monthly basis to hospitals throughout the county of San Diego and contain items designed to support families during their NICU stays.

Miracle Babies also recognizes the importance of research, in decreasing future preterm births, and works closely with multiple community partners to advance the collective understanding of preterm birth, and design interventions that result in better health outcomes for NICU babies.

We are together for a better beginning.

3 Steps Every Set of Intended Parents Should Consider Before Starting IVF, Surrogacy, & Egg Donation

The IVF road is a rewarding one, but it certainly has some challenges. We are grateful for new technology that allows couples to have a child who otherwise might not be able to. Sometimes the process can be overwhelming, but with a lot of patience your dream of having a child will come true.

However- there are many things to consider in the process as you journey down your road.

Yet, have no a fear. Here is a quick guide with a few steps to consider as you start your journey through the IVF, Surrogacy & Egg Donation process:

1. Where

When it comes to choosing where to perform your IVF cycle, it’s wise to do your research. There are many IVF clinics in the United States, but unfortunately not all are created equal. The truth is, reviews are invaluable. You can read reviews on any clinic that is in operation.

Also, ask around and see what other people’s thoughts are on the clinic.

And, do as many consults as you need to to feel confident about the doctor you are choosing to help you bring a child into the world. As Intended Parents, you are in control of many of the elements at the start of this process.

Do what you can to make informed, wise decisions to make your journey a seamless, happy, and successful one.

2. How

It’s important to consider how you want to perform your cycle. This process has many options.

Do you want a Surrogate that is close to your chosen birth hospital so you can take your child right home? What if the Surrogate is from another state but more affordable – or the surrogacy laws are better where the Surrogate lives?

Do you want an anonymous egg donor? How would you like to interact with your egg donor? Intended Parents should carefully consider if they want an open donation or an anonymous donation.

There are perks and drawbacks to both. How the journey is done is up to you.

And, let’s not forget – how many children do you want?

3. When

In the world of IVF, it’s all about the “when”. Lining up your timeline with your chosen Donor and Surrogate can be a very tricky recipe. That’s why you hire the best team in the world to coordinate a great Egg Donor and a great Surrogate for you. Let us do the hard work when it comes to scheduling.

Most couples who come to us have spent years trying to get pregnant, and they are ready for the process to be complete and result in a sweet newborn. We are with you. We are here to help assess the best timeline possible for you and yours.

Regardless of your wants and wishes for your IVF, Surrogacy & Egg Donation cycle, we are here to make them come true. With a little love and patience, we can all work together to help you build a family.

A great place to start is right here.

Surrogacy

Choosing Your Surrogate: A How To Guide from Conceptual Options, California’s Surrogacy Agency

Every surrogacy journey will be different. Every Surrogate is going to want specific things out of her journey both emotionally and logistically, just as you will as an Intended Parent. Finding the perfect fit is key to making a challenging process a smooth, seamless, and special journey full of love.

A Surrogate is a generous woman who is willing to lend her womb to someone in need to help them start a family. While there are challenges in the process, finding a Surrogate you will be happy with can help the journey become easier.

So, but how do you go about finding a Surrogate? A search for the woman who will be part of your lives for the next year can require some careful research and consideration. Here is a guide on what to consider when looking for your Surrogate to carry your child:

1. Ask Your IVF & TTC Friends

If you know anyone who has gone through the IVF process with a Surrogate, ask them for recommendations, whether in person or even via social media groups. The information and referrals are out there if you look. If they had a positive experience, it’s possible you will too by using the same team they did.

Ask your friends about what they liked and did not like about their Surrogacy process. Get the details about what they think would make for a smooth journey with a Surrogate.

2. Learn All That You Can

Not all surrogacy programs are created equal. When it comes to how to find a Surrogate, you need to do some research. Read all the reviews you can about an agency or program before you sign any contracts.

Also make sure you’ve considered the best surrogacy programs to schedule a consult for your chosen Surrogate.

3. Stick To Your Gut

If you have a good feeling or inkling about a certain surrogate agency or program, then move swiftly in that direction. Having a child through Surrogacy and IVF doesn’t have to be completely clinical, you can extend your wings of love and include family, friends, and your Surrogate in this process.

There are aspects of this process that are bigger than all of us. We truly believe that you will find the Surrogate of your dreams that you were meant to be matched with. Many Surrogates remain part of the Intended Parent’s lives for years to come, while others choose to be a part of your life for just a short time.

When you want to find a Surrogate that you can rust, use only the best programs that rigorously screen their Surrogates to ensure they are fit to help you build a family. Leave it us and our experience as you start to fulfill your dream.
