Children of IVF, Egg Donation, and Surrogacy Thrive

A study out of the UK that has monitored children born via IVF, Egg Donation, and Surrogacy for 20 years was published just last year – and the results show that they are thriving right along with their naturally conceived counterparts.  The result was that the absence of a biological connection between children and their parents, whether genetically or gestationally,  does not interfere with the development of the child, according to the study author Susan Golombok, Director of the Centre for Family Research at the University of Cambridge.

On a side note, the study did show that children do best if they are told when they are younger that they were born via assisted reproductive technology.
