6 Steps to Becoming a Parent with Surrogacy

By scheduling a consultation with one of our experienced client relation team members, you have the ability to ask questions, discuss options and determine the best path to creating your family. Or you can access our egg donor database by filling out our Intended Parents Application.

Select your Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor, and Sperm Donor

Finding a surrogate, egg donor, or sperm donor may seem like a daunting task; however, the experienced staff of Conceptual Options is here to familiarize you with the surrogacy and donation process and help you select the surrogate mother and/or egg donor and sperm donor that best fits your needs. Every surrogacy and donation cycle is different for each family, and working with Conceptual Options will help you navigate your journey to parenthood. We also have no fees until you have successfully matched with your Surrogate, Egg Donor, and/or Sperm Donor.

Start Medical Screenings and Paperwork

Now that you have selected your Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor, or Sperm Donor, the time has come for the complete medical screening of your surrogate and/or egg donor and sperm donor. Also, at the same time, the legal contracts will be drafted and finalized by the attorneys.

IVF Medical Cycle Starts

Upon completion of all medical screening and legal contracts, the IVF cycle will start with the IVF doctor syncing everyone’s cycles together. Once this is done, medications will start for the Intended Mother, Surrogate Mother, and/or Egg Donor. Within several weeks the egg retrieval will occur, and the embryo transfer will take place within 3-5 days following the egg retrieval from the Intended Mother and/or egg donor.

What to expect now that you are EXPECTING!

Now that you are expecting your baby, we begin preparing you for your baby’s birth, which includes all parental rights paperwork and preparing for your return home with your new family. No stone is left unturned as Conceptual Options work with you to ensure that all steps are completed before and as your baby is born.

Not only do Surrogates have to pass through our tough Surrogate Requirements, but they will also talk with our in-house Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who will evaluate the potential Surrogate Mother and help determine whether Surrogacy is the right fit for them. One of our Client Relations Managers will also discuss what level of contact the potential Surrogate applicant is comfortable with, whether she is comfortable with carrying multiple babies or just one, and whether her goals align with yours as the Intended Parents.

When it comes to matching you with your potential Surrogate Mother we take into account all of these things, including levels of privacy wanted from all parties, and use our Surrogate Database and one of our expert Client Relations Managers to match you with someone who shares the same goals and preferences as you do. Remember, at this point in this process, no upfront costs have been paid. No costs are paid until you have been matched with your Surrogate, Egg Donor, Sperm Donor, Clinic, and Lawyer, and then a retainer for services is signed. No waiting lists and no up-front fees.
